A: This year’s registration fee is a flat fee, no matter how many educational sessions you attend and no matter the number of continuing education credits.
Q: When I choose the courses that I wish to attend, am I guaranteed a seat in that course?
A: Choosing a course does not guarantee you a seat in that course; no tickets will be provided as in past years. Rooms will be filled based on space capacity regulations, and attendees will be allowed entrance on a first-come, first-served basis.
Q: Why do I choose courses to attend during the registration process if I am not guaranteed a seat in those courses?
A: During the registration process, you will be asked to choose particular courses that you would like to attend based on day and time slot. This is useful for you to not double-book your time and to make the most of your conference experience. You will be able to print out a copy of the agenda with the courses you chose at the end of the registration process.
Q: If I purchase a One Day Registration – Friday Only to attend educational sessions and I want to visit the Optical Exhibit Showcase on Saturday, what do I do?
A: The One Day Registrations are offered for those who cannot attend events taking place on more than one day. If you wanted to attend sessions on Friday and visit the Optical Exhibit Showcase on Saturday, you would need to purchase a Full Conference Registration for a cost of $225.
Q: I’d like to bring a spouse/guest with me to the conference. Can they sit in on educational courses with me?
A: No, spouses/guests are not permitted entrance to the educational sessions. Their $25 registration fee only permits entrance to the Optical Exhibit Showcase during open hoursThe spouses/guests must be accompanied by the person that their registration is associated with to be in the exhibit hall and at events.
Q: What if my spouse/guest is in the optical industry and wants to attend educational sessions?
A: In that case, this person would need to purchase a conference registration to be allowed access to educational sessions.
Q: Am I able to register for the conference without making payment at the same time?
A: No, you will need to make full payment at the time of on-line registration with a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover) If you would like to pay for your registration by check, please print out the registration form that appears on the Attendee Registration page, complete the form and include your check payment.
